If you’d like to wear a suit to work or church, but you’re not sure how to find the most comfortable suit for you, you’re not alone. Plenty of men worry about choosing the right suit. Luckily, there are a few easy steps you can take to locate the perfect men’s suits for your needs.
First, think about the places where you’ll be wearing the suit. Are you planning to go to work every day wearing a suit jacket, for example? Or are you looking for a special occasion outfit, for an event like your daughter’s wedding? By pinpointing the exact situation in which you’ll be wearing the suit, you can decide on how formal it needs to be, and whether you’ll need to buy or rent the garment.
If you do decide to buy a suit, make sure that you consider the accessories you’ll need. For a work suit, for example, you may need cufflinks, a matching shirt and tie, and maybe even a coordinating pocket square. Be sure to find these accessories before you plan on wearing the suit. This will help you feel more comfortable and prepared.
If you don’t purchase your suit and decide to lease a suit for a special event, there are several other things to think about. Will you be a groomsman, in big wedding party? If you will, be sure that your suit coordinates with the other groomsmen suits, as well as tie, shirt, and the flower in your buttonhole should blend in with the bridesmaids’ dresses.
Again, planning ahead like this will help you feel more relaxed and confident when you wear the suit. When you shop for the suit, bring along a trusted friend or relative. He or she will be able to give you good advice about what looks good on you. Having a second opinion can be invaluable, and you’ll have a much better time going shopping in the company of someone who knows you well.
When you are searching for a suit, you will need to think about the type of cloth that would be most appropriate for you. Do you need something you can put in a washing machine, or would you rather have something you have to take to the dry cleaners? Likewise, you will need to be certain that you are pleased with the pattern of the cloth that the suit is made of, so that you feel good about wearing the suit in the presence of other people.
One of the most important things about your suit is the fit. If necessary, hire a tailor to make sure that it fits just right in the shoulders, and that the cuffs of your pants fall in a comfortable fashion.
Finding the right suit for you does not have to be a nerve-racking experience. In fact, wearing a suit in which you are comfortable should make you feel relaxed and confident.

It is fall fashion week in NYC and behind all the glitz, celebrities and drama, there was a lot of work to be done on my end. As you may already know, I own and operate a Fashion Consultant firm called My Image Expert www.MyImageExpert.com. I am also responsible for a custom couture fashion collection that I both design and produce in New York City. That said, sometimes I am called upon by other designers (much bigger then myself – literally) to fulfill last minute designs. Since my clothing collection is made locally, you can imagine all the calls I received for fashion week regarding last minute requests. Now that the week is just about over, I can finally settle in an share my thoughts about an incident that occurred a few days ago.
I was invited to be a guest blogger on a fashion related web site, much like this one. With the exchange of several e-mails, one of the contributors asked me to name my favorite trends for Summer/Spring 09. Anybody that knows me, knows I tend to over analyze things and it usually doesnt take much to get my wheels spinning. After the smoke cleared, I decided to share my thoughts regarding Summer and Spring trends for 2009 with the fashion network.
Spring/Summer 09 will be very a very interesting time for fashion. Fashion designers gather inspiration for their collection up to two years ahead of time. This includes the entire process from inception to completion. Inception includes the original concept for the garment including: color, fabric and style details that are usually represented in sketch form. Completion includes the delivery date that these garments are actually shipped the vendor or store supplier for retail. At this time, the consumer can actually buy and wear the garment.
Spring/Summer 09 trends were forecast several months before Spring/Summer 08! So in theory, the trends were created just before the majority of the credit crunch hit retail stores and consumers. By now, everyone knows that retail sales continue to take a beating due to the current condition of the economy. This beating has directly affected the designers and the companies they work for. Most of these companies manufacturer their own garments once the concepts, details, and samples are designed. The department store buyer will look at these manufactured samples and decide if they want to carry them in their stores. As we speak, buyers are working with designers and manufacturer samples for Spring/Summer 2010.
With that being said, this years Spring/Summer 09 trends, that are already available to consumers in retail stores, do not reflect the current credit crunch that has affected our economy. When the economy is bad, fashion trends tend to reveal the ramifications. Colors start to inherit neutral and basic tones like: brown, grey, cream and navy. This is because fashion colors (the trendy colors of the moment) are more expensive to manufacturer. In a bad economy, fabrics become less feminine and luxurious. Manufacturers use basic blends of cotton, wool and silk while avoiding intricate details like embellishments, sequins, leather, glitter and flaps. This helps to lower the overall price that a consumer will pay for such a garment. Hemlines tend to shrink in a bad economy. The mini skirt was first developed and designed by Mary Quant in the 1960’s while in the midst of an economic recession. Less fabric is cheaper and lets face it, a mini skirt leaves little to the imagination!
This will be the first time in history when being fashionable is out of fashion! The collections that walked down the runway in September’s Spring Fashion week were not designed for the frugal female or an economy on the verge of a recession. They were designed and created for the luxurious lady who loves to splurge on novelty items. When Spring 09 hits the stores many months after fashion week, people will simply pass up the designer brands and head to discount stores to buy what they can afford.
By now, my reply to your requirement is a bit extensive. I have to stop myself as I could go on for hours! I have decided to list my favorite trends in a more effective way that seems reasonable due to the economy and my above acclamations. It is possible to spend less and look the best! Many high-end designers have developed collections for discount stores like Target, H&M, and Payless. The best part about it is that no one ever has to know where you got it from! Here a few of my favorite high-end designers offering exclusive trendy and affordable collections. The trend for Spring/Summer 09 is to have the designers runway look at a fraction of the cost.
Botkier – purses, clutches, and wristlets normally found in high end department stores for $400-$800.00 available at Target for $50.00
Richard Thai ” a regular style innovator at New York Fashion Week best known for his silk dyed garments! His dresses, skirts, and blouses are available for a limited time at Target for $13-$80.00. A Thai dress regular sells for $800.00
Alice + Olivia ” a trendy womens wear brand in high-end department stores has released an exclusive collection for Payless Shoes! It will only be a matter of time before design garments for Target ” Shh! Alice + Olivia shoes and garments usually range from $200-400.00. Payless has the new line for about $40.00
If you would like to include some of your favorite trends, I would love to hear about them – especially if they are outside the box. In the meant time, stay unique!

Developments in high heels modify swiftly and women want to put on the latest designs. High heels make women look taller, slimmer and more persuasive. But the cost a woman has to pay to wear high heels can be very high. It’s not the price of the high heels, but the destruction they can do to the feet that needs to be evaded. When wearing high heels the pressure is on the toes and the balls of the feet. If pointed high heels are in trend there is very little you can do to avoid getting a pair.
Well before you can make your high heels more relaxed, make certain you purchase the accurate high heels. Be wise when shopping for high heels. First, make sure to get your feet measured when you go to shop for high heels. This may sound insane, but feet do grow larger with time and in pregnancy. Try and purchase a pair that has round toes.
Stay away from buying pointed toes high heels if you can. If you have feet that are large then ask for a wider pair. Try on the high heels, walk around in them. If they are easy then procure them, else shop around. Don’t procure high heels that have hard leather, try and find a pair with soft leather. Don’t go for high heels that are too high. Don’t wear high heels for an extended period of time. If you plan on wearing high heels on a daily basis then your feet are going to get ravaged. Even wearing high heels for a dance party can hurt your feet.
You can make your high heels more relaxed by following a few instructions. If you have got a pair with conical toes then place some cotton in the toes of the high heels to guard your toes. Put arch supports in the high heels. If you feel that your feet are getting sprained from the sides place some cushioning on the sides. Now that you have your high heels ready now you have to get ready your feet also.
Remember extended wear of high heels can cause blisters, calluses and corns on your feet. You definitely don’t want to be seen limping in your high heels.
So take some band aid or moleskin squares and place them on your feet. Wrap them around your toes, the sides of your feet and most importantly on your heels. It’s the toes, the heels and the balls of the feet that get damaged wearing high heels. So protecting these areas is going to save your feet from getting damaged.
Also apply a cream or lotion on the feet to make them acquiescent and lively. Occasionally it even makes logic to pat some oil on the inner shell of the high heels to make the leather flexible. But you only do this when you are not using the high heels. If you follow these simple tips then you can guard your feet from getting damaged by wearing high heels.
Optimistically by following these suggestions you will be able to put on high heels without ravaging your feet.

The first and most important part in buying a suit or having one custom made is being familiar with suit measurements and in particular your suit measurements. Below you can learn how to properly measure yourself for your suit size and will also learn about the sizes that ready to wear suits are available. The fit of one’s suit and make or break appearances. As a side note, this guide uses inches, so if you are more comfortable with centimeters, just multiply by 2.54 to convert inches into centimeters.
Measuring For The Jacket
Measuring yourself can sometimes be a task, so if you already own a well fitting jacket you can instead take your measurements directly from the jacket itself. This will be especially beneficial if you are planning on buying the same brand of suit as your jacket. The measurements within the same brand should be identical and you can just ask for the same size. But not all brands are alike, so here is what you need to do to find your measurements.
Measure across your shoulders or get one of your suit jackets and measure across the shoulder seams.
In order to determine what suit size you need, you have to measure your chest. Measure around the widest part of your chest, under the arm pits and across the shoulder blades using a tape. If you have a size 40 chest, your jacket size is 40. If measuring a suit instead, measure the front across the armpits and double the figure.
When measuring the sleeves, take the length from the top of your shoulder to the point of your wrist you favor.
Jacket length is measured by from bottom of the neck to the crotch. Measurement from a jacket is taken from the collar to the bottom.
Like your jacket, if you have some well fitting pants you may use those to find your proper measurements. If you do not own a properly fitted pair of pants, then here is how you must proceed.
To measure your waist size you will need to measure around the lower part of your waist. Remember to hold a finger in between your body and the tape. If you already have a pair of pants, then measure their width at the waist and multiply by two to find your measurement.
Inseams of pants establish how long they will be. To find your proper measurement make sure and measure from the crotch on the inside of the leg, down to your foot. If you are using a pair of pants for the measurement just measure the seam at the crotch all of the way down to the end of the leg on the pants. Measuring The Neck
The neck must be measured around its fullest part to get the proper measurement. No one wants a shirt that is too snug in the neck.
Typically jacket sizes start with an XS at 34 in. and can go up to an XXXL at 54 in. Pants can range anywhere from an XS at 26 in to an XXXL at 50 in. Sizes to vary from brand to brand, so its best to know your size before you get to the retailer.

For women, Fashion is one of the most essential things in life. They always want to appear at their best and enjoy the most modern and the most distinctive looking fashion accessories in the market. They constantly want to be the most trendy and gorgeous of all the competition.
However this can be a difficult task especially for women of the lower class as they do not have enough financial resources to fulfil their desires. Buying a fashion item once is hard enough but if they have to buy it again and again due to its wear and tear then this becomes a serious problem.
The simplest and easiest solution to this problem is to make sure that the things we buy once serve us long enough to satisfy our need for them. Shoes are perhaps the most roughly used fashion accessory. They have to go through all sorts of situations, rain, dirt, mud and so much more therefore it is only logical that their wear and tear is the most among all items of fashion. However the damage done due to this rough usage can be controlled by caring for your shoes.
Proper cleaning and maintenance is the first and foremost step in taking good care of your shoes and is sure to increase the useful life of them. Different types of shoes demand different cleaning procedures and technique. The only hard and fast rule to clean your shoes; is to the use a cloth and clean them at least once every day. However taking proper care of your shoes is much more than just that.
Shoes made up of different stuff require different styles of maintenance. Leather shoes and suede shoes are the hardest to preserve and clean. They require extraordinary care and concentration to uphold their unique look or the suede might wear out or the leather might get dull. Such shoes should be cleaned carefully at least once every month or whenever you see mud or dirt on them.
Cleaning suede shoes is a lot tougher than cleaning any other type of shoes. To clean suede shoes always use a soft clean cloth and gently rub the surface of the shoe. Use specific suede erasers to rub out any stains without damaging the suede. If a specific suede eraser is not available then any ordinary good quality pencil eraser can also be used. This will allow you to maintain the life of your suede while removing the stains.
To smooth the surface of the suede one can use a suede metal brush and brush out the effect of using the eraser. Always brush the suede in a circular pattern to avoid damaging the suede. It is always advisable that you use tools designed specifically for cleaning suede as they will not damage the suede.
Cleaning leather shoes is overall a new story. Always use products planned specifically for the sort of leather your shoe is made of. If you use products which are not purposely designed for your shoe leather body then you could end up damaging your shoe. Commercial products are obtainable at shoe stores which are not costly compared to the boost in life they offer to your shoes.
If one is low on cash then mineral oil can also be used to spark the leather which is a dynamic element in all leather cleaners. However it is wise that you test the mineral oil on that piece of your shoe which doesn’t show much. To maintain that excel in your leather shoes it is a good suggestion to use a soft fabric with white vinegar to shine the shoes.
However before using anything on your shoes always remember to test it on a little part of the shoe. Never use suede cleaners to clean leather and vice verse.
